<p>Who's the boss? </p><p>Frank Martell is regional president of ACNielsen Asia Pacific/emerging markets. Forrest Didier is regional managing director of Nielsen Media Research Asia Pacific. Both are in Hong Kong. </p><p>How many staff? </p><p>Around Asia-Pacific, we have over 6,000 associates for the combined ACNielsen and Nielsen Media Research businesses. </p><p>Marketing responsibilities? </p><p>The marketing and communications team works closely with all internal divisions at all levels to ensure effective internal and external communications. </p><p>Responsibilities range from corporate communications, media relations, community relations to marketing and advertising. </p><p>Who's the competition? </p><p>Other marketing and media research organisations and consultancies although we're the largest in terms of geographical coverage and years of experience in retail, consumer and media research. </p><p>How do you get a job there? </p><p>Applying directly or by employee referrals, although we sometimes advertise. </p><p>Candidates must be interested in research, marketing, brands and consumer behaviour, and be client-oriented, innovative and passionate about it. </p><p>Department or office transfers? </p><p>That's the great thing about working for a company with offices in so many countries. ACNielsen and Nielsen Media Research actively encourage job transfers locally or regionally and between business units as part of our ongoing commitment to people development. </p><p>Any training offered? </p><p>Training is provided through the ACNielsen University and the Media School of Nielsen Media Research. We have an annual 40-hour training programme in place where we provide opportunities for everyone to participate in various types of learning activities during the year that will help them achieve their personal and professional goals. There are also cross-department orientation programmes available to foster understanding of other business units. </p><p>Pay and perks? </p><p>The company provides employees with career development opportunities, rewards and recognition and the best work environment. </p><p>Long hours? </p><p>If you love your job, long hours aren't important.
