Cartwright, who will be based in Hong Kong, has more than a decade's branding experience, having worked with brands such as the Hilton hotel, Unilever and Vodafone, and has won numerous awards for his achievements over the years.
"I have been with Springpoint for two years out of London, but have travelled extensively for the past six months. Prior to that, I was working for the Hilton Hotel and had to travel to Hong Kong a lot when the hotel was here, said Cartwright.
"My role here (in Asia) will be very similar to that in London, where I was working as a brand consultant."
Springpoint has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.
Cartwright's post will involve working closely with the team responsible for expanding the company's Hong Kong regional headquarters to new offices in the China market.
"It's going to be a fantastic challenge from a branding point of view when you consider the potential for brands which already have awareness but need to be provided greater meaning for the brand, as well as the many new companies that don't yet have the recognition, said Cartwright.
"We are also trying to plan where to open elsewhere in the region. I will work to develop the business in Hong Kong on a mix of multinational, local and regional brands. At Springpoint, we do at the moment work with a lot of multinational brands, such as Unilever and Vodaphone."
