What is your greatest work achievement?

I'm still waiting for it. I believe that every achievement, big or small, should motivate one to do better.

What would be your dream brand to work on and why?

Generally any food brand. Food is something I love; I even dream about what I'm going to eat for breakfast the night before.

What would you do if you weren't in marketing?

I think I was destined to be in marketing but I have dreams. I'd love to be a travel writer, a film critic, ballet dancer, gypsy ... the list is endless.

What was your big break?

Depending on what you classify as a big break, it was probably went I made the decision to leave home, which was in Australia, to come to Asia.

Who was your mentor and how did this person influence you?

My mentor is the positive side of my brain. Sometimes you have to listen really hard, but it's always there. On a more practical note, people I work with at Modem Media are my mentors. They are some of the most insightful, innovative people I've come across in the interactive marketing business.

Is there a secret to your success?

Success is such a broad term that we sometimes forget to look at the smaller successes we have in everyday life. So the secret to success is to be proud of the little things.

How do you handle difficult clients?

By not interrupting them when they have concerns. Listening to their dissatisfaction in one go lets them know they've been heard and gives me a complete perspective of what they're unhappy about - which I can then address and advise logically.

What advice would you give to the next person to do your current job?

Do your best 'cause that's all you can do.

What are you currently reading that will help you in your job?

I'm a magazine fanatic, but I'm never reading just one thing at one time. I like picking a magazine up and getting something good from one article, then going to the next for something equally stimulating on a totally different topic.

Who is the business person you most admire and why?

My dad. He was the first truly entrepreneurial man I'd ever met. I have lots of stories to share about him, but I'll save those for later.
