What is your greatest achievement?
Getting consumers to recognise the Double A brand.
Dream brand to work on and why?
Double A. I would like to make it a global brand because it is a quality product which represents Asia. I would like to prove that Asia does have leading products which meet international standards.
What would you do if you weren't in marketing?
I have never thought about doing anything else. Marketing has given me the opportunity to present good quality products to consumers.
Who was your mentor?
No one can succeed alone. My team has worked hard to influence our success. They are great consultants and provide a pool of ideas.
Is there a secret to your success?
Loyalty and honesty to the customer and an understanding of customer needs, which I try never to neglect.
How do you handle difficult clients?
Through reason and reflection on what can benefit the customer. In cases when we are wrong, I accept responsibility because mistakes can be rectified.
Advice to the next person to do your current job?
Be loyal to the customer. Regardless of which administration or strategies each individual chooses to implement, loyalty is foremost. The customer supports our products directly. If we are unable to create trust, or if we create mistrust, success will not be achieved.
What are you reading?
I read all types of material at every opportunity. Marketers need to be widely informed in order to study consumer changes and the competition.
Business person you most admire?
I admire business people who are initiators. For example my boss, whom I greatly admire, has the capacity to view things differently. Things which others overlook he turns into opportunity.
