What is your greatest work achievement?
It depends on how this is interpreted. I joined Pricerite a year ago from CASH Financial Services Group, which is under the same holding company, CASH Group.
I previously marketed internet trading services and financial instruments.
Now it is furniture and household products. Managing such career transition is, to me, an achievement.
What would be your dream brand to work on and why?
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
What would you do if you weren't in marketing?
An animal rights activist.
What was your big break?
I joined CASH five years ago as a management trainee without a special focus. But one day, I was asked if I were interested in joining the team for the company's, and probably Hong Kong's, first electronic stock trading platform.
I said yes to the offer.
Who was your mentor and how did this person influence you?
My husband - he is a very patient and thoughtful listener who gives me a lot of professional advice.
Is there a secret to your success?
Honestly, I don't regard myself as a success. But I see in other truly successful people one common quality - 120 per cent concentration and dedication to what they do.
How do you handle difficult clients?
Luckily, I do not deal with clients directly so this is not a problem for me).
But as a client, I trust my agency. So I think making oneself trustworthy is the most important part of an agency-client relationship.
That would probably be my rule of thumb if I worked in an agency.
What advice would you give to the next person to do your current job?
Retail is about the details - you will face a sharp learning curve.
What are you currently reading that will help you in your job?
Part of my job is to read our company's internal report on the sales performance of different merchandise. Does that count?
Who is the business person you most admire and why?
No one in particular.
