Star Group has promoted Jannie Poon to senior vice-president, reporting to Michelle Guthrie, chief executive officer of Star. Poon will continue to head Star's corporate communications division and serve as the company's chief press officer. Poon joined Star in 1995 as corporate affairs manager. She has 15 years of experience in the communications field.
