Sohu.com has promoted chief operating officer Victor Koo to president and chief operating officer. Koo joined Sohu in 1999 and has been COO since July 2001. He also served as senior vice-president (corporate business development) and chief financial officer of Sohu. Before joining Sohu, Koo held senior positions in Richina Group, a China-based venture capital firm, where he held a number of positions, including vice-president and director of business development. Prior to that, Koo worked at Bain & Company in the US and Procter & Gamble International in Hong Kong.
