Dow Jones has appointed John Bussey as deputy managing editor of The Wall Street Journal and Frederick Kempe as European editor of the Wall Street Journal. Bussey, who was most recently the paper's foreign editor will now oversee the editorial of the AWSJ and the Far Eastern Economic Review. He will also continue to oversee news bureaus in North and South America, Africa and the Middle East. Kempe, who joined the Journal in 1981, will continue to serve as editor and associate publisher of WSJ Europe and assume responsibility for all Journal staffers in Europe, including those in Moscow. Reginald Chua, editor of the AWSJ, and Michael Vatikiotis, editor of the FEER, will now report to Bussey.
