Le Meridien Hotels and Reorts has named Alka Alimchandani as director of marketing, Asia-Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Alimchandani will support the deployment of the brand throughout the region. Her focus is to develop and implement global and regional marketing products and programmes, as well as ad campaigns. Alimchandani joined the group in the post of 'creating buzz' for its Cyberport hotel in Hong Kong. She previously worked at TBWA as account director, and at Ogilvy & Mather.
