CAREERS: MindShare transfers talent to region
<p>MindShare Asia-Pacific is bringing two senior executives from </p><p>Europe to its regional operations in an effort to develop its media </p><p>investment management services in Asia-Pacific. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The company has appointed Nick Waters as chief executive officer, </p><p>Southeast Asia, and Andrew Valencia as managing partner. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Waters, currently managing partner, has been responsible for MindShare's </p><p>Ford Motor Company account in Europe and will move to Singapore to </p><p>manage the Unilever account across Asia-Pacific. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Valencia, who was previously managing partner, responsible for </p><p>MindShare's IBM account in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will </p><p>relocate to Sydney as managing partner for IBM across Asia-Pacific. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>According to Kelly Clark, MindShare chief executive officer, </p><p>Asia-Pacific, the appointments are consistent with the company's policy </p><p>of internal promotion, development and career progression. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"When a position comes up, we will look at rewarding talented managers </p><p>with the opportunity to grow within the international network and </p><p>develop expertise in all facets of MindShare's business," said Clark. </p><p>"Waters has been instrumental in MindShare's progress and brings proven </p><p>skills through experience at a multinational business across different </p><p>countries." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Both Waters and Valencia have been with MindShare since its launch. </p><p>"They were both with Ogilvy & Mather media before MindShare was there. </p><p>Since the launch, they have helped build up its identity from very early </p><p>days," said Clark. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Valencia's appointment is effective immediately, while Waters will join </p><p>MindShare's Singapore office from October 15. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Clark added: "The appointments go to show our commitment to the Asian </p><p>markets, and will allow us to sustain and further our business in the </p><p>region." </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
