McCann-Erickson Thailand has appointed Mr Sakda Preechawipat as its
new executive media director.
He was most recently at Euro RSCG in Bangkok as general manager; he had
been with the agency for more than 17 years.
However, in returning to the media discipline, Mr Sakda said he felt he
was returning to his "first love" in advertising.
"Media is the perfect combination of art (buying) and science
(planning)," he said.
"It's the area I feel most comfortable in; it's my playground. The best
part of media is that it's the only area where the agency can debate
with clients on rationale, facts and figures, with no emotional
bias."
Mr Sakda will partner Mr Paul Spender, McCann's current media director,
who has been promoted to vice-president.
