MindShare Asia-Pacific has launched a new regional training

programme, called "Driving for Excellence".

"Now, more than ever, training is fundamental to the future success of

media specialist companies," said MindShare Asia-Pacific chairman John

Steedman.

"Fragmenting communication channels, increasingly sophisticated market

research and modelling techniques and a tightening labour market have

placed a higher focus on retaining and developing skilled staff."

The programme is aimed at "increasing the potential" of all MindShare

staff in the region, helping to reinforce the need for staff to think as

communication experts rather than old-fashioned media planners and

buyers.

The first seminar was recently held for North Asian markets in Suzhou

and was attended by delegates from the Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou,

Hong Kong, Taipei and Tokyo offices.

The second seminar was held in Bangkok for all Southeast Asian markets,

and the final seminar is scheduled for Australasia to take place just

after the Olympics.
