MindShare has appointed Mr Mark Patterson as CEO of its Japan
operation.
Mr Patterson was previously the managing director of BJK&E Media, a
London-based media specialist formed as a joint venture between Tempus
Group and True North Communications.
MindShare's Tokyo office works with a number of blue-chip multi-national
clients such as IBM, Unilever, Zurich Insurance, De Beers, Ford and
Warner Lambert.
Mr Kelly Clark, CEO of MindShare Asia Pacific said of the appointment: "
We are thrilled to get someone of Mark's calibre and experience to lead
our operations in Japan. MindShare has a unique position in the Japanese
market and we needed somebody with his drive and talent to take us to
the next stage. We expect that other agencies will follow our business
model in Tokyo and Mark's job will be to ensure that we remain ahead of
the game there."
Mr Patterson described the opportunity to move to MindShare as
"irresistable".
"There is a fantastic challenge ahead in spearheading the establishment
of media planning as an essential communications tool," he said.
