CAREERS MEDIA: MindShare Japan snaps up Patterson as its new CEO

<p>MindShare has appointed Mr Mark Patterson as CEO of its Japan </p><p>operation. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Mr Patterson was previously the managing director of BJK&E Media, a </p><p>London-based media specialist formed as a joint venture between Tempus </p><p>Group and True North Communications. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>MindShare's Tokyo office works with a number of blue-chip multi-national </p><p>clients such as IBM, Unilever, Zurich Insurance, De Beers, Ford and </p><p>Warner Lambert. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Mr Kelly Clark, CEO of MindShare Asia Pacific said of the appointment: " </p><p>We are thrilled to get someone of Mark's calibre and experience to lead </p><p>our operations in Japan. MindShare has a unique position in the Japanese </p><p>market and we needed somebody with his drive and talent to take us to </p><p>the next stage. We expect that other agencies will follow our business </p><p>model in Tokyo and Mark's job will be to ensure that we remain ahead of </p><p>the game there." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Mr Patterson described the opportunity to move to MindShare as </p><p>"irresistable". </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"There is a fantastic challenge ahead in spearheading the establishment </p><p>of media planning as an essential communications tool," he said. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
