Mr Anthony Dobson has joined Starcom as the new regional research
director for Asia-Pacific, replacing Mr Richard Fielding, who had moved
to Chicago to head up Starcom's research team in the US.
Before joining Starcom, Mr Dobson was employed at Turner International
Hong Kong, as VP, research and strategic planning.
He was responsible for all broadcast, marketing, brand and Internet
research functions for CNN International, HBO, Cartoon Network & Turner
Classic Movies across Asia-Pacific.
One of Mr Dobson's many recent achievements at Turner was the
conception, design and implementation of the pan-Asian New GenerAsians
teens study.
It was originally launched in 1998 however, was so successful it was
repeated again 18 months later at the end of last year.
At Starcom, he will be responsible for driving the agency's aggressive
research agenda across the region, building on the strengths of previous
initiatives and maximising the opportunities, which have resulted from
the recent merger between the Starcom and MediaVest groups.
