CAREERS MEDIA: Dobson joins Starcom

<p>Mr Anthony Dobson has joined Starcom as the new regional research </p><p>director for Asia-Pacific, replacing Mr Richard Fielding, who had moved </p><p>to Chicago to head up Starcom's research team in the US. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Before joining Starcom, Mr Dobson was employed at Turner International </p><p>Hong Kong, as VP, research and strategic planning. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>He was responsible for all broadcast, marketing, brand and Internet </p><p>research functions for CNN International, HBO, Cartoon Network & Turner </p><p>Classic Movies across Asia-Pacific. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>One of Mr Dobson's many recent achievements at Turner was the </p><p>conception, design and implementation of the pan-Asian New GenerAsians </p><p>teens study. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It was originally launched in 1998 however, was so successful it was </p><p>repeated again 18 months later at the end of last year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>At Starcom, he will be responsible for driving the agency's aggressive </p><p>research agenda across the region, building on the strengths of previous </p><p>initiatives and maximising the opportunities, which have resulted from </p><p>the recent merger between the Starcom and MediaVest groups. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
