A 12-year veteran of Asia-Pacific, Mr Peter Wilken was most

recently COO/managing director of Leo Burnett Malaysia, where he led the

agency through the Asian economic crisis.

In that time the agency rose two notches in the Ad Age rankings to No.3,

won 14 major pieces of new business, strengthened its No.1 creative

position and delivered double the average regional profitability.

A significant proportion of his time in the region prior to joining

Burnett, however, was spent with Ogilvy & Mather, where he was posted in

Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Under his leadership as group MD of O&M Philippines, the agency more

than doubled in size and was voted the most creative agency in the

country for two consecutive years, winning more international awards

than the top 10 competitors combined.

In his new role as regional MD of BBDO, Mr Wilken will report to the

network's president of international operations, Jean-Michel Goudard.
