Impiric has placed 30 people on the Cisco account, including 12 in account service, seven in creative with the remainder in specialist areas such as database management.
Most of the staff previously worked at Impiric on IBM's below-the-line account, which the agency lost last November as part of an international alignment to OgilvyOne.
There are also two new recruits. Nicole Pang has joined as interactive art director. She was previously creative consultant with interactive agency Adroit Innovations.
Long Li Fei has joined the agency as campaign manager. He was previously marketing services executive for Singapore Exhibition Services.
Peter Diermayr, Impiric director, who heads the Cisco account, said the agency short-listed candidates who were experienced in communications and marketing but outside of mainstream advertising.
He said it was important that the team on Cisco had varied backgrounds to ensure there was a mix of skills and expertise on the business. Work on the account involves campaign management, strategy planning, direct marketing, database management, tech solutions, loyalty services, digital marketing solutions, research, analytics, tele-services and customer care.
In addition, to the regional account, Impiric also works for Cisco Systems at a country level in China and Singapore. Diermayr said working on the account had been good because the client moved rapidly on assignments.
Cisco also has a flat management structure so agency personnel could liaise with the more senior marketing people, he added.
