Carat scoops aastocks.com Hong Kong media account

HONG KONG - Financial content provider aastocks.com has chosen Carat Hong Kong as its new media agency for Hong Kong market.

A three-month pitch included incumbent Mindshare, OMD, Starcom and several other local agencies.

A source close to the account said the ability to work flexibly with the client’s limited media budget was among the reasons for Carat’s appointment. The client does its creative advertising in house.

Asstocks.com is a financial and investment content provider, which offers information on stock exchange, financial and options investment, and foreign exchange targeting the mass market; similar competitors in this market segment include finet.hk and quamnet.com.

One industry source said that the business is worth an estimated HK$3 million and said there will be a review next year in China.
