Martin Cowie, MD of Carat Sydney, has made the decision to leave Carat next week after 19 months .
Ian Lomas has also been appointed national trading director.
“The key reason for these changes is to initiate a single strategy and clearer view of our business for our clients, media suppliers, and our staff. It also makes sense to have a single national structure, particularly with our plans in other Australian markets. Peter has done an outstanding job since joining Carat in 2007, and it was a natural choice for him to take over running the Carat group in Australia,” said Lee Stephens (pictured), CEO Aegis Media Pacific.
“Martin has done many great things for our business and we thank him and wish him well for the future,” he added.
Barrie said: “I am delighted to take on the role of CEO Carat Australia. My new role will enable us to continue to grow with a national team structure that ensures we deliver the best communications offering to our clients.”
“Simon is a key signing for Carat Melbourne, he is an extremely well respected media executive who also brings significant business skills, essential to running a successful agency,” added Barrie.
In August, Stephens was appointed regional digital director for Aegis Media in Asia-Pacific
