Campbell's to name China agency

Campbell's Soup is reportedly aiming to boost its relatively small Mainland China presence with the launch of a new product specifically tailored for Chinese consumers.

The company is believed to have briefed its two global creative agencies - Y&R and BBDO - about the launch, with a selection decision expected by early next week.

While a Campbell's representative declined to comment on the development, it is believed that the new chicken broth product is at a preliminary stage of planning. The company already markets chicken broth in Hong Kong under the Swanson brand name.
