Campbell departs Y&R for Google role

SINGAPORE - Y&R Asia president Ambar Brahmachary has declined to clarify speculation that the agency's regional operation is being restructured, following the departure of regional creative planning director Rob Campbell (pictured).

Instead, Brahmachary said that regional leadership - which includes chief client officer Sanjay Bhasin and chief creative officer Rowan Chanen - will continue to report to Brahmachary. Sources told Media that Y&R Asia will be integrated with Y&R Singapore’s office, under the leadership of Singapore CEO Tanuj Philip.

“It is pretty much business as usual,” said Brahamachary.

Campbell, meanwhile, departs for the US to take up a freelance project with Google. However, he is expected to return to Asia.

He declined to comment on the Google position.
