An idea-driven entrepreneur, Prabhu defies limitations by giving independent firms a stronger voice in a communications industry dominated by holding companies.

Xavier Prabhu

Founder, Chairman & CEO
PR Hub Integrated Marketing Communication
India

Xavier Prabhu's story is unconventional and inspiring. Born in a small town in South India, he studied in his native local language through senior secondary school, earned a Masters in Physics, and was slated for a doctorate in Solid State Physics. There was not even a remote hint of anything to do with PR across his family ecosystem.

What Prabhu did next — building PR Hub into a leading independent, full-service PR firm — broke every mould. He’s been recognised among the top 100 PR professionals in India, is one of the most followed PR professionals in the country on LinkedIn, and features in Shine, a recent book profiling 30 successful entrepreneurs in Indian PR.

Prabhu is among a handful of Indian PR professionals to have held a global industry role, serving as President of APAC as a member of the global board of IPREX, one of the largest networks of independent PR firms.

Beyond the agency, Prabhu has visited over 100 campuses speaking to thousands of students, sat on the boards of leading mass communication institutes, and framed curriculum for courses in Online PR. He is an ardent advocate for women returning to work, supporting them through a mix of policy, flexibility, and personal mentorship — many of whom have gone on to play leadership roles and is a proponent of integrating more professionals from tier 2 and 3 cities into the industry.

To Quote: "He continually learns, adapts to different situations and is driven by a growing passion for the industry. As a keen observer, he is a valuable ally, even as a contemporary in the business. His ability to connect with others and deliver results makes him truly multifaceted.” - Komal Ladh, Founder & CEO, Tute Consult
