Harry Dee David Jusana (aka Harry Deje) has a career defined not only by his title but by what he leaves behind.

With more than 30 years across above-the-line, below-the-line, media, digital, and corporate advisory, Deje has experienced every line of communication. He chose to anchor his career in public relations because he sees it as the connective force across disciplines — shaping narrative, reputation, and long-term influence.

As co-founder and chief operating officer of Burson Indonesia, he built the agency alongside a leadership team, reinforcing his belief that enduring institutions are collective efforts. Under his stewardship, the agency expanded nearly eightfold within five years, sustained operations across pandemic years, and maintained workforce stability during industry contraction. In 2025, it achieved double-digit profit growth while maintaining 65% local business acquisition.

Deje formalised a planning division and established an in-house creative and production team — rarely structured within traditional PR agencies. The office has become a reference point within the global network, with an innovation and creativity capability for Burson APAC anchored in Indonesia as a regional centre of excellence.

As co-founder of PRCA Indonesia, he helped establish a unified platform bringing together major agencies, independent practitioners, and corporate communicators under one professional standard. He actively encourages networking forums, knowledge-sharing sessions, and capability-building initiatives across the industry.

Throughout his career, Deje had opportunities beyond Indonesia, yet he chose to build locally. His leadership is defined by clarity, groundedness, and accessibility — fostering confidence rather than hierarchy.

To Quote: "What stands out is his steady progression and character. Even early on, he demonstrated bold thinking. He was among the first to introduce social media and influencer engagement…when the approach was largely untested. That willingness to innovate remains a defining trait." -Daniel Rembeth, former CEO of The Jakarta Post
