Camargo to head Ogilvy PR in Japan

Orlando Camargo has been appointed president of Ogilvy PR Japan, charged with growing the agency's business with both local and international clients.

"The challenge will be to provide advice that positions Japan and Japanese companies to grow and continue innovating," said Camargo. "The other challenge will be to help non-Japanese multinationals to take advantage of opportunities in one of Asia's most open and dynamic markets." Ogilvy PR Japan handles clients such as Unilever, UPS, Invest in France and Symantec. The agency also handles investor relations for 300 domestic companies such as Orix, Nippon Oil and Konica Minolta Holdings. Camargo was previously VP, director of corporate communications, at Goldman Sachs and also worked for Fleishman-Hillard Japan from 1997 to 2000 as VP, senior managing director.
