CAAS pitches new terminal brand brief

SINGAPORE - Five agencies have lined up for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore account - a S$3 million (US$1.9 million) advertising and media brief to brand Changi Airport.

Y&R, Rocket-X, Redworks, Saatchi Lab and Crush are in the running for the account, currently held by Bates.

The brief calls for an integrated marketing plan for Changi Airport, focusing on its upcoming new budget terminal, T3. According to CAAS’ marketing manager Chia Sooi Lian, dates for the first round of presentations have not been confirmed.

According to sources over 20 mid-large sized agencies were in the initial briefing.

“It was a crappy brief,” said a source involved in the briefing session.

“The client had no research findings or proper description on T3, so what were we supposed to focus on?”
