Business Week to launch Indonesia edition in June

JAKARTA: Business Week is launching a Bahasa Indonesia edition, which it claims will allow it to penetrate deeper into the elite readership segment.

Business Week Edisi Indonesia is the result of a licensing agreement between the regional title and local publisher Indomedia Dinamika

The first issue, which is a direct translation of the weekly Asian edition of Business Week, will hit the streets of Jakarta on June 3, with a print run of 30,000 copies.

Alan Lammin, Business Week Asia managing director, said: "In some territories, a local language edition is an effective way of complementing our Asian edition - we have a very successful licensing partnership in China and we believe the same model will be successful in Indonesia. Robert Eskapa, president and CEO of Indomedia, said he expected the magazine to attract affluent readers as well as elite advertisers. The Indonesian edition has its own sales and marketing force.
