Business Week has appointed Richard Huggins as regional sales

director for Southeast Asia.

He replaces Michael Dance who was recently promoted to vice-president of

sales for the publication's western US region.

Mr Huggins, who was previously international sales manager at Time in

London, will handle representative markets in Malaysia, Thailand and

Indonesia, with additional account responsibilities within the Singapore

market, noted Business Week Asia vice-president and managing director,

Alan Lammin.

According to Mr Lammin a spate of recent departures, including that of

regional marketing director for Asia, Justine Moss, had sparked a hunt

for new staffers.

Lamenting that shewould be sorely missed, Mr Lammin praised Ms Moss -

who steps into the role of business development director at XS Media -

for having "put Business Week on the map and made it the envy of the

international community" during her two-and-a-half year tenure at the

title.

Boosters to the Business Week team are also tipped to include a new

regional research manager - a role which Mr Lammin himself has been

spearheading since January.
