HONG KONG: Business Week and the Asian Wall Street Journal have come
away big winners of the 3rd Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) awards
for editorial excellence.
Business Week took the Excellence in Magazine (English language) prize,
while AWSJ won the respective accolade for the newspaper section.
Time, Reader's Digest and Newsweek were also big winners on the
night.
The awards attracted a record 193 entries from across Asia.
Some 200 people attended the event, which was hosted by Publicitas Asia
chief executive Barrie Goodridge, with the keynote speaker being Ruth De
Aquino, president of the World Editors Forum.
