Burson-Marsteller defends hold on global LG business

SEOUL - LG Electronics has opted to retain long-term global PR incumbent Burson-Marsteller, after a review that also included GolinHarris.

It is thought that the WPP agency’s strength in Korea, where it has handled the business for a number of years, proved critical to the eventual outcome. “B-M certainly has a stronger capability in Korea than GolinHarris, which may have tipped the balance again,” said a source.
