Burson achieves five-win strike at PRWeek Awards

HONG KONG: Burson-Marsteller celebrated an unprecedented five-win strike at last Thursday's PRWeek Awards. At the sixth annual PR awards, B-M struck gold twice as Asia-Pacific Network of the Year, and Consultancy of the Year for B-M Beijing.

Judges commended the network's ability to live up to its reputation for excellence, including counselling the Hong Kong Government during Sars and advising the Iraqi Governing Council.

Scooping the technology award for client Hewlett-Packard China, a campaign for client Qualcomm also saw B-M win the gong for Marketing Communications: Business.

Beating 13 award-winners for PRWeek's coveted Campaign of the Year was Ogilvy PR Australia public affairs arm Parkers & Partners, which also won in Public Affairs for its push to increase daily Emirates Airlines flights to Australia.

Beating tough contenders, 24-year old Golin/Harris Taiwan account supervisor Victor Chen scooped the Young PR Professional of the Year award.
