O'Shea was most recently managing partner at Ogilvy & Mather London, and prior to that group managing director of O&M Singapore.
He takes over from John Borzi, who quit after 19 years with the agency, although he is expected to return to the network in another senior role within the next six months.
Meanwhile, Kanwar, who will also be based in Singapore, was most recently vice-president of global digital strategy at Burnett Chicago, and was part of the corporate strategy group, which conceptualised iLeo. Prior to that, he held the post of managing director of the agency's New Delhi operation. "iLeo is very strategic. It goes into the heart of services, particularly at a time when businesses become more aggressive in terms of performance. Over the three or four years of iLeo's presence we expect that clients who have a basic need for customer-focused strategy will gravitate to our offering," said Kanwar.
He added that the unit - launched in October last year - would target telecoms, financial services companies, retailers and pharmaceuticals, as well as airline and travel-related businesses.
