Burnett bags $6m Indonesia account

JAKARTA - Leo Burnett Krea-sindo has emerged the winner of the US$6 million Indonesian creative account of cement maker Holcim after a pitch which began with 10 agencies in contention.

The Publicis Groupe agency takes on creative duties for the full range of Holcim products as the company looks to take advantage of Indonesia’s construction boom.

Key urban areas are expected to see population increases of 60 million  over the next 20 years, a trend that will drive  construction.

Leo Burnett’s appointment draws to an end a two-month review that culminated in a final round of pitching with McCann Erickson, AdCity and incumbent Y&R.

Sebby Intan, group marketing and branding manager for Holcim Indonesia, said the brand wanted a strategic communications partner for a three-year period.
