Burberry hands China business to Maxus

HONG KONG - Burberry has handed media buying and planning duties for its China and Hong Kong accounts to Maxus.

The business was previously handled in-house.

According to Maxus Hong Kong GM Carmen Cha, the shift reflects Burberry’s expansion plans for China.

“The Hong Kong market is pretty saturated,” said Cha. “Our challenges here are how to face the leapfrogging rates in high-end magazines and OOH placement, and how to prioritise the resource allocation”.
The first campaign will be rolled out in March for its spring and summer collections.
