Bringing the team together

Exotissimo Travel recommends these teambuilding options

CHIANG MAI COOKING RACE
The day starts with a briefing at the delegates’ hotel where the group is split into teams
of six to eight people, each escorted by their own ‘cooking guide’.

Teams will be given a budget, a camera and a road map, and will then have to find their way in the market to complete their first task – bargaining. Chefs give details about the different vegetables, herbs, roots and spices being sold, so delegates can actually see what these raw products look like before they are cooked and pick the best of them.

With a list of ingredients collected, delegates proceed to the cooking school where they learn how to cook a selection of Thai dishes following the instructions of the cooking guide. An ‘impartial’ jury of tasters will have the final word and rate the quality of the group’s work, then everybody will join
and enjoy the delicacies prepared together.

Back to the hotel after lunch.
Option 1: Company logo on delegates’ aprons
Option 2: Certificate and prize for each team
Full-Day (8am-3pm), lunch included

CHIANG MAI CITY RACE
This teambuilding event is an ideal way to experience the best the city has to offer with its moats, temples and markets. It also offers a chance to unravel some of its mysteries.

Following a short briefing at the group’s hotel, the starting signal is given for each team to hit the road. With a set of instructions, a map, budget and camera, delegates must navigate their way through Chiang Mai, performing a list of tasks.

An integral part of the challenge will be money management. This will determine transportation options selected by each team (tuk-tuk or local covered trucks with bench seats, called songthaew) with the best bargaining skills rewarded by bonus points.

Head back to the hotel in the afternoon for the award ceremony.
Option 1: Company logo and team names on delegates caps and shirts
Option 2: Company’s quiz added to the road book
Option 3: Certificate and prize for each team
Half-Day (8-12am or 2-6 pm), lunch not included

CHIANG MAI ADVENTURE RACE
This teambuilding event is a great way to experience the beautiful Chiang Mai countryside through a wide range of outdoor activities.

The day starts with a briefing at the group’s hotel. The group is split into teams of six to eight people. Each team has a guide and receives an adventure backpack containing a map and useful items such as sun cream, a cap and a road book with each task detailed.

The teams are led outside where a fleet of covered trucks are waiting to take them into the mountainous countryside of the Mae Taeng valley.

The first stop is at a scenic buffalo village where each team performs one or more assigned tasks (with the help of the Thai farmers) before moving on. Staff are on hand to make sure they get it right.

The next stop is at an elephant camp where delegates will have to find the appropriate platform from which to board their tusker and depart for a ride through the surrounding jungle.

A Thai buffet lunch will be served at the elephant camp before the afternoon activities start again.
This time, the Exotissimo team will teach delegates how to build a bamboo raft. Fast learners will enjoy a ride down the Mae Taeng along which clues have been placed to help delegates complete
the day’s challenge.
