BRIEFINGS: Star sets up consortium in Korea

<p>Star TV will develop DTH satellite broadcasting business in Korea </p><p>with the setting up of a new consortium tentatively called Korea </p><p>Satellite Broadcasting Corporation (KSBC) jointly with other </p><p>partners. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Dacom Satellite Multimedia Systems (DSM), SK Telecom and eight other </p><p>companies have teamed up with Star TV to launch KSBC which plans to </p><p>apply for a licence for the satellite broadcasting services. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>KSBC is planning to expand into a grand consortium by bringing in more </p><p>companies with expertise in various areas. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
