LONDON: Vodafone has appointed McCann-Erickson WorldGroup to its
global branding account following a pitch against Ogilvy and BMP
DDB.
BMP DDB Needham will continue to handle UK domestic advertising, but
McCann-Erickson will be responsible for devising a campaign to launch
Vodafone as a single global brand.
Vodafone stressed that the appointment will not affect local advertising
agencies arrangements.
Mr Don Dillion, regional director for McCann-Erickson Europe, Middle
East and Africa, said it reaffirmed the capability and experience in
McCann WorldGroup in building and developing global brands.
