BRIEFINGS: Laing quits Saatchis

<p>New York Jennifer Laing, the British-born chairman of Saatchi & </p><p>Saatchi in New York, has resigned. Her decision came in the same week </p><p>that the Paris-based Publicis group completed its takeover of the </p><p>Saatchis network. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Her resignation follows news that Saatchis is moving its group </p><p>headquarters from London to New York. Ms Liang, who has been associated </p><p>with the Saatchis group for almost 30 years, went to the US after a </p><p>period at the London agency. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Saatchis acquired her agency, Laing Henry, in the wake of the turmoil </p><p>that followed Maurice Saatchi's ousting in 1994. Ms Laing first joined </p><p>Saatchis in the 70s with its acquisition of Garland-Compton. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
