Casbaa has recruited 10 new members with the expansion of its
membership to new economy corporations and telecommunications companies,
as well as traditional pay-TV players.
Hong Kong-listed Pacific Century CyberWorks has joined as a patron
member and that gives the company an automatic seat on the board of
directors.
Meanwhile, AXN has joined Casbaa as a corporate member and other new
members include: Communications Systems, UTV's Vijay TV, WebArts TV.com,
Asia-Pacific Vision, Asia Capacity Exchange, CSM Sofres and X
Ventures.
The association has implemented a new anti-piracy campaign, named
Fingerprinting, in a bid to crack down on illegal stealing of TV
signals.
