BRI hires local shop Oze

JAKARTA - Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), one of the country's largest banks, has appointed local shop ad to handle its consumer loan product after a five-way pitch that involved Ideasphere, Octocom, Onecom and Sphere.

BRI has the widest network in Indonesia and tends to focus on district capitals in relatively well developed areas.

In July last year the bank had placed the creative and media duties for its rural savings product Simpedes - worth over US$2 million - with Havas agencies Euro RSCG and MPG Indonesia, respectively.
