Brett steps down from Gold Coast and AACVB roles

Mr Bob Brett, chief executive of the Gold Coast Tourism Bureau in Queensland, has quit his post as the bureau announced major organisational changes.

Brisbane Mr Bob Brett, chief executive of the Gold Coast Tourism Bureau in Queensland, has quit his post as the bureau announced major organisational changes. Mr Brett, who also stepped down as chairman of the Australian Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaux (AACCVB), had held his position in Surfers Paradise for ten years Mr Martin Winter of the Adelaide Convention and Tourism Authority has taken the AACVB job. Mr Brett said a highlight during his ten years had been the opening up of the conference and incentive market from Asia. Mr Brett said he will consider his options after a break of a few months.
