Bravo scoops Seibu creative account

Dickson Concepts, a Hong Kong-listed up-market retailer, has handed Bravo Asia the creative business for its second Seibu store in Kowloon.

Dickson, which operates more than 400 shops and shop-in-shops in Asia under brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers, is expected to unveil the new outlet mid-December.

The HK$80 million store will cover 52,000 square feet in Tsim Sha Tsui's Kowloon Hotel, replacing Seibu's Causeway Bay outlet, which shut in May when its lease expired. "However, the new mall is underground and the challenge will be to market that," said Bravo president and CEO Aaron Lau. "Without a store front, we are left with no shop window for displays. Instead, we are coming up with a concept that will see us take the shop window to the people on the street."

Dickson, which opened a HK$12.8 million, five-level Harvey Nichols in Central — the city's first venue for the luxury British department store — also has Seibu branches in Admiralty's Pacific Place and Langham Place in Mong Kok. The Hong Kong market accounts for 58 per cent of the company's total sales.
