Created by an in-house design team, the packaging features a visual of soy beans in an attempt to direct consumers' attention to the natural ingredients used in the Fairness cleanser and toner products.
Neutrogena is claiming to be the first skincare brand to use essential soy beans as a key ingredient in its products. The brand's senior product manager Daisy Sit said essential soy was different from other soy products because its protein elements could be retained to benefit users.
The other elements - chiefly the use of light silver and white - are part of the Fairness' package design.
Hong Kong is the first market in Asia where Neutrogena has launched its soy-based skin whitening product range, according to Sit.
