Bond takes on global role at Proximity

SINGAPORE - Richard Fraser has been named Proximity Asia's regional managing director, replacing Simon Bond (pictured) who has been appointed to the newly-created post of global head of business development for Proximity Worldwide in New York.

Bond will assume his new position in the first quarter of 2009. He will report to president and CEO of BBDO Worldwide Andrew Robertson. Bond joined Proximity Singapore at its launch in November 2004, and has previously worked at the agency in Paris, London and the Middle East.

Fraser, who will be based in Singapore, is currently AIM Proximity’s national planning director in New Zealand and oversees the agency’s strategic planning department. Prior to his four years at Proximity, Fraser was Conduit Marketing’s marketing management director in New Zealand. He also founded eGype in Los Angeles, and worked as a senior director of marketing for Affinity Group. He has worked with brands such as Aviva, Citibank, Fonterra, Mars and Mercedes.

Fraser will assume his new role on 15 October.
