BOH Tea searches for creative agency

KUALA LUMPUR - BOH Tea, Malaysia's largest tea producer, is searching for an advertising agency as it prepares to launch a new product range later this year.

A number of agencies have presented credentials to the client, which recently introduced new packaging and plans to introduce a new line of teas over the coming months.

The account was formerly handled by Naga DDB, a relationship that ended when Naga took on Unilever's globally-aligned Lipton Tea brand.

BOH plantations cover an area of 1200 hectares and produce four million kilograms of tea annually.

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, the tea giant recently partnered with the Malaysian chapter of the WWF. March saw the introduction of the "tea for trees" initiative, a tea-replanting scheme to conserve Malaysia's dwindling population of Orang-utans.
