BNI hands media to MPG, calls creative pitch

JAKARTA - Bank Negara International (BNI), Indonesia's fourth-largest bank, has handed its US$15 million media account to MPG.

The win follows a six-way pitch that also involved Initiative and Grey Media along with two local agencies and incumbent ZenithOptimedia.

Zenith has been handling the account for more than two years.

Separately, the bank has issued a tender for its creative business that is believed to be worth more than US$10 million. BNI’s creative is split between Saatchi & Saatchi and Saatchi Lab.

It is not clear which agencies are pitching for the creative business, but the pitch is part of a mandatory review that BNI conducts every two years.

Initially referred to by its unabbreviated name of Bank Negara Indonesia when it was established in 1946, BNI is the first bank formed and owned by the Indonesian Government.
