Bloomberg begins creative agency search

SINGAPORE - Bloomberg Television has kicked off a search for a creative agency to promote the channel's brand across Asia-Pacific.

The financial network has yet to formalise a brief, although new campaigns are likely to be based around its newly launched screen design.

Shawn Galey, managing director, commercial affairs, Bloomberg Television Asia-Pacific, said: "We have been relatively quiet marketing-wise recently, and we have a big job to do to remind the world how big we are."

He added: "Our campaigns to date have come out of the US, but we're looking into the possibility of hiring an agency for the Asia-Pacific region. As well as promote our new on-screen design, we are looking for a strategic partner to define our brand in Asia."

A pitch list is most likely to be drawn up next year, he said, while a marketing budget has yet to be finalised.

Bloomberg ditched its trademark J-shaped screen design this month in favour of a cleaner look-and-feel.
