Bleasdale takes charge of Rapp Collins Asia-Pacific

SINGAPORE - DDB Singapore group MD Richard Bleasdale has taken on a new regional role as head of Rapp Collins Asia Pacific.

Bleasdale will be tasked to build stronger ties between Rapp Collins, DDB and digital arm Tribal DDB, which have struggled to prove they can work as an integrated unit.

"We think that Rapp Collins has reached a fraction of its potential in Asia Pacific," said Bleasdale, who launched Rapp Collins in New Zealand and has helped grow the Singapore business.

"We want to form a pyramid of skill sets, working closer with Tribal [DDB] and DDB to support them with our data. We haven't been as integrated as we would have liked to date," he said.

A re-focused Rapp Collins would also look to capture clients shared by the network in Europe and the US, Bleasdale added, who takes on the title of Asia Pacific president and managing partner, Rapp Collins.

Meanwhile Chris Gordon, chairman of Rapp Collins Asia Pacific, has shifted to a global role within Omnicom's Diversified Agency Services (DAS) operation.
