Berli Jucker moves tissue brands from Ogilvy & Mather to Lowe

BANGKOK - Berli Jucker, one of Thailand's largest consumer goods companies, has handed the creative brief for its tissue brands to Lowe after a three-way pitch that included Far East DDB and local shop Prakit.

It is believed that incumbent Ogilvy & Mather was not invited to pitch for the business. The shift sees Lowe strengthen its hold on Berli Jucker’s business; the agency already handles its snack brands.

Berli Jucker, together with its subsidiaries, engages in manufacturing, marketing and distributing consumer products, primarily in Thailand. The company’s consumer products include tissue paper, personal products such as soaps and shampoos, snack foods and confectionery.

The company’s tissue subsidiary is called Berli Jucker Cellox, and its product range includes toilet tissue, facial tissue, napkin and towels under the Cellox, Zilk, Dion, Belle, Maxmo, Melona and Yori brands.

Lowe Thailand was recently awarded the creative business for Siam Commercial Bank along with Leo Burnett.
