Beringer to lead CRM at Tequila in China

SHANGHAI - Below-the-line agency Tequila\China has appointed Devin Beringer (pictured) as relationship marketing director as part of a restructuring and expansion initiative.

Reporting to David Hunt, Tequila\China's managing director, Beringer replaces Enko von Arnim, who has assumed the role of group business director for CRM. In his new position, Beringer will be responsible for helping clients develop and grow customer relationships, improve marketing efficiency and increase customer profitability.

Prior to joining the Omnicom agency, Beringer worked as customer management director at business-to-business search engine Alibaba.com, where he established and managed a series of customer acquisition, activation, retention and win-back programmes. He also reportedly played a key role in assessing and improving the company’s management of customer data, business intelligence, and marketing infrastructure.

Beringer’s career has also included stints at Draft Worldwide New York and Hong Kong, and OgilvyOne Beijing, where he serviced clients such as Audi, Michelin, IBM, Compaq, Motorola, Cisco, Lancôme, Avis and Verizon.
