Bella banking on celeb power for its first TV push

Global Beauty Group has launched its first ever television campaign for its high-tech Bella Skin Care brand, signing on three local celebrities to endorse its services.

Rolled-out in the lead up to summer, the Asatsu-DK-created campaign uses model Kathy Chow, ex-Miss Hong Kong winner and actress Halina Tam, and model and singer Marsha Yuen, with each representing a particular service offered by Bella. Using special high-speed cameras to capture the trio in slow motion, each sequence uses a flower analogy to represent the 'problem areas' of the skin, demonstrating how Bella can help transform a woman through laser hair removal (LHR), diode laser and radio frequency treatments and massage. Whye Lai, group marketing director, Global Beauty, said Bella spent more than HK$40 million annually on marketing, with a quarter of it going towards its 'brother' products for the men's market.
