The Beaufort Hotel and Conference Centre on Sentosa Island has appointed Mr Holger Hirle as general manager.
Mr Hirle, who first joined the Beaufort chain nine years ago as the general manager of the Sukhothai Hotel in Bangkok, is determined to redefine the venue's appeal as a conference and incentive destination.
"I will be pushing our location and the facilities on offer, including the convention centre that was opened only two years ago.
"We can combine so many different things that you could not do at a standard downtown location, this is particularly true for corporate team-building exercises or management retreat sessions.
"We have to approach people locally because most of our business is generated through the local offices of multi-national companies."
